Commercial pool heating systems from Ecosun by Aquatherm

Commercial Systems

Cost-effective, high-performance solar pool heating.

The Market

Two-thirds of the 400,000 commercial swimming pools in the U.S. – such as those at hotels, motels, health clubs and schools are perfect candidates for solar heating systems since owners and operators have no choice but to keep their pools at comfortable temperatures year-round.

Solar pool heating is a clean, reliable, and cost-effective technology, and is the most widely used application for solar water heating technology in the U.S. today.

The Environment

Most of these pools are heated with fossil fuels such as natural gas, propane, or heat pumps. This increases the U.S. dependence on imported fuels and pollutes the air. Furthermore, fossil fuel prices fluctuate significantly and are expected to rise over the next decade. Instead, solar pool heating systems can provide a clean, domestic and affordable way to reduce the monthly energy bill for heating commercial swimming pools.
If all these pools were heated with natural gas, the heating load would produce carbon dioxide emissions equivalent to driving 6.6 million average cars a total of 12,500 miles annually!

For commercial uses, the Ecosun Solar Pool Heating System is available with a heavy-duty 2" manifold system, designed to be compatible with commercial-grade high flow, high-efficiency pool filtration systems. The durability built into the design of our efficient solar pool heaters makes them ideally suited to commercial applications.

The Product

Aquatherm collectors are certified or listed by SRCC, FSEC, IAPMO, The City of Los Angeles and CSA and even survived a grueling EMMAQUA 23-year accelerated weathering test in the Arizona desert. In addition, Aquatherm collectors are the first NSF-50 certified solar pool heating collectors in the world, meeting strict commercial pool requirements for safety, durability and toxicity. Aquatherm collectors are available with a heavy-duty 2" manifold system, designed to be compatible with commercial-grade high flow, high-efficiency pool filtration systems. The durability built into the design of our efficient solar pool heaters makes them ideally suited to commercial applications.

The Company

Aquatherm Industries is one of the oldest and largest solar pool heating manufacturers in the world offering products that are heating over 500,000 pools since 1976. We say that, “the sun never sets on Aquatherm” as our collectors are currently in use in climates around the world including Australia, southeast Asia, Canada, the U.S., Central and South America, Belgium, Switzerland, The Czech Republic, Sweden, France, Spain, Morocco, India, Egypt and Jordan. Aquatherm is also the first U.S. solar collector manufacturer to receive ISO 9001:2008 registration.

Rapid Payback

With the highest efficiencies of any solar technology – well in excess of 80% - according to the U.S. Department of Energy, “solar pool heating can pay for itself in as little as two years and typically lasts 10 years or more.”

Hybrid Heating

An Aquatherm Hybrid Solar Pool Heating System works seamlessly in conjunction with your existing natural gas, propane or electrically powered pool heater giving the commercial pool owner / operator the best of both worlds.

Professional Design and Installation

Aquatherm and their professional worldwide network of Distribution Centers and factory trained Dealers ensure your system is designed and installed to the highest standards.
