The scholarship is awarded annually to incoming freshman, and can be renewed every year the student remains at NJIT.
Ive been struck by the lack of attention paid to manufacturing in this country says Aquatherm President Dave Sizelove. We need to keep manufacturing jobs here in America, and this scholarship program is one way we can help.
The Aquatherm Lamadrid Memorial Scholarship was established in 2004 in honor of Aquatherm Industries long-time Plant Manager, Mateo
Matty Lamadrid, who passed away in February 2003 after a long battle with cancer. Throughout his 22 years with Aquatherm, Matty was instrumental in developing many of the innovative manufacturing processes used by the company to this day, and was an inspiration to all who worked with him.
